

The 51x chassis support both types of edge connector. F&*kin' headroom, I love it! There are a number of designers that support this format - many of the circuit board designs allow you to clip off the extra edge connector if you build a design for standard 500 series format at 16v rather than 24v. Great to have 24v in a 500 series format. Excellent build quality on the power supply and rack. Seems like a great option for the DIY inclined - which I definitely am Yep, 51x baby!!! it's all diy. I've only found DIY options for the rack itself - I don't see an off the shelf product available. There is some risk that you misalign a card since its not in there as securely but I've not read of anyone doing that.

Supposedly, all 500 series VPR is compatible. Basically, 18 pin connectors with the additional 24v+/- rails as opposed to 15 pin. Its a 51x rack which is different from a VPR (API standard) rack.
